Health and Safety 

BPS Contractors fully understands the importance of safe working practices and proactively fulfils the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, in addition to all other Regulations and guidelines. The health, safety and welfare of our employees and all other persons who may be affected by our activities are our main priority. The company meets Health and Safety standards by:

 

 

  • Communicating appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision to all employees, contractors and sub-contractors to ensure they can perform their duties safely and without risk to themselves or others.

 

  • Ensuring a systematic approach to the identification of risks to health, safety and the allocation of resources, whilst also providing systems to control them.

 

  • Assessing potential health and safety factors for all new products, projects and activities.

 

  • Setting standards, which as an absolute minimum, meet statutory requirements but also recognise industry best practice.

 

  • As a Manager, Tom Birtles, personally assumes ultimate responsibility for the implementation of health and safety during all projects.

 

  • The Company reviews it’s standards and policies annually in light of any changes in statutory, technological or industry best practice.
